Being special is a gift, but sometimes parents of children with special needs need a little help themselves. Some downtime, adult time, play groups for their kids, a shoulder to lean, advice, sharing resources or learning from each others experiences. I started this group because as a parent of a child with special needs, I sometimes feel lost or isolated as I try to figure out what is best for my son and family and try to navigate the healthcare system, school system and life in general.

Calling all neighbours whose lives are in some way influenced by the presence of dyslexia in their families or their friendships. There is a dearth of information out there with regard to dyslexia and we want to change that fact. Dyslexia can have a devastating affect on people's lives if it is not identified and supported from an early age. It would be great to create a kinship amongst people who are going through the same adversities and struggles on a daily basis whilst living with dyslexia.

We can all learn from one another through our own personal experiences, both positive and negative. Limb loss can be a de …
